What I Wore: 1 Retiro

I have finally got around to dragging my boyfriend to the Beautiful Parque de Retiro in Madrid to take some photos for my first ever ‘Personal Style’ post. The daunting thought of having someone taking pictures of me in a variety of different poses and in different locations was the main reason it took me so long to start my blog. Fortunately, we have jumped that little hurdle now and hopefully there will be many more personal style posts to come.

I chose to take the first set of photos in Parque de Retiro (translates to Park of the Pleasant Retreat) which is located at the edge of Madrid city centre. This is one of my favourite areas in Madrid as it has so much to offer. It is an amazing park which is filled with beautiful sculptures, monuments, galleries and a peaceful lake where you can hire a boat and row your heart away. The park has a brilliant atmosphere with many people going there with their kids or using the space for yoga, running or general keep fit. It is an absolute MUST visit tourist attracting when holidaying in Madrid.

After a hard first week back at work and the plan for the day was watching the football in a bar (not my choice), I wanted to keep my outfit comfortable and simple. Adding the basic t-shirt and a jacket around my waist added a relaxed touch to the black leather skirt and boots. I am hoping the Spanish summer lasts another few weeks so I can keep the legs out!!
